a name doesn't define who you are

it doesn't explain what you are
a name doesn't award you acceptance
it doesn't explain your importance
and if blood is the only way
then blood is relation and relation is what gives you acceptance.
I will gladly drain the blood from my body
to be free from this fight
a fight for validity
validity to be me.

the past in life always disturbing

a spiral staircase moving down into oblivion
for my state of mind is not at ease
full of insecurities.

the right path that leads to calmness eludes me

I do not see what others see
a straight path full of serenity
a present bliss that could be.

walking down the aisle of thought

wishing I can see what might be
I cannot change the state of past
my only power is to wait for what shall be.

I need to find myself

through all these debris
the walls I built
can no longer secure me.

I need to pick up the pieces

every shred of me
to work out this equation
of what's meant to be.

I need to rearrange

the heavy and silly boxes
regroup, reformat
my priorities.

but there's so many boxes

filled with questions and jagged pieces
to trying for me to care
coz the truth is too heavy to bare.
